WORSHIP

Worship is not simply singing to the Lord, but it is a posture of our heart. It is a declaration of personal intimacy with the Lord. Our hearts are bowed in reverence of our King, and we overflow with gratitude for who He is.

Scripture to read: John 4:23-24, Colossians 3:16, Revelation 5:9-10, Psalm 150:1-6

"Adoration is the spontaneous hearing of the heart to worship, honor, magnify, and bless God. We ask nothing but to cherish Him. We seek nothing but His exultation. We focus on nothing but His goodness." -Richard Foster

"We are here to be worshippers first and workers only second. We take a convert and immediately make a worker out of him. God never meant it to be so. God meant that a convert should learn to be a worshiper, and after that he can learn to be a worker... the work done by a worshipper will have eternity in it." -A.W. Tozer
